Artfolio
For this group project in Semester 3, I worked on creating ARTFOLIO, a printed publication designed to showcase my creative process from initial sketches to the final design. My focus was on producing a compelling and professional layout while integrating personal touches that reflected my workflow as a designer.
I contributed by creating detailed sketches, both thumbnails and layouts, for the ARTfolio pages. My section included tracing a chosen drawing, experimenting with various techniques such as stippling and hatching, and translating the hand-drawn elements into digital art using Adobe Photoshop. I chose “Head of a Girl” by Leonardo da Vinci for my feature piece, captivated by its expressive simplicity and tonal depth. My digital painting brought a modern, colorful twist to the classic artwork, emphasizing complementary hues and creating a bold, striking contrast.
Through this project, I aimed to highlight not only the technical steps but also the intentionality and thought behind each phase of the creative process. This project pushed me to refine my layout skills, better understand my workflow, and communicate it visually and verbally in a professional format.
